Teenagers Injured in Ft. Lauderdale Auto-Bicycle Accident

Police are still investigating a Ft. Lauderdale auto accident involving a collision with a bicycle that occurred Thursday evening, February 5, according to Juan Orega of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Orega reports that two fourteen-year-old boys were both riding the same bike on Northwest 19th Street when they were struck by a 2002 Nissan around 6:40 p.m. Police said that the young teenagers were attempting to cross 19th Street when they reportedly veered into the path of the eastbound Nissan, driven by Fort Lauderdale resident Rebecca Hines. Injured in the auto-bicycle accident, the teens were transported to Broward General Medical Center but were in stable condition following the crash. Names had not been released, and no charges had been filed at the time of the report.

Many victims of pedestrian or bicycle accidents refrain from consulting with a personal injury lawyer following their crashes because they assume that only injuries from car accidents qualify as good reasons to try to claim compensation. Contrary to that assumption, a good personal injury attorney can help you recover compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering, and other expenses whether your accident occurred in a motor vehicle, on a bike, or on foot. If you or your child has been injured in a Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach County bicycle accident, feel free to call us with your most pressing questions, and we will answer them for free with no obligation to you.
