Wrongful Deaths In South Florida

Recently, a woman in West Palm Beach was hit by a car while crossing the road late in the evening. The woman was hit by a Mitsubishi, according to Sun Sentinel, and was flung far out into the road upon impact. She was later declared dead due to her massive injuries at St. Mary’s Medical Center. In just the last few months, the Palm Beach police have dealt with twenty-six similar accident cases in which the injured person ended up dead.

This depressing story just goes to show you that accidents can happen at any time. In this case, the accident was not a hit and run, and the newspaper did not release information about why it happened. Some accidents involving pedestrians are due to drunk driving or careless and negligent driving, and others like this are actually more the fault of the pedestrian rushing out into the street. Either way, though, one of the parties involved in the accident is most likely able to get a settlement for injuries to person and property.

If you have been involved in an accident like this, whether it was hit and run, involved an underinsured driver, or simply didn’t get settled in a fair way, you may want to consult with an auto accident attorney in Ft. Lauderdale. A good attorney will be able to let you know whether or not your case can easily be settled or tried and how much chance of success you have. An attorney can do something as simple as help you file an insurance claim with your own company or something as complex as taking a belligerent insurer to court over your claim. When you work with an experienced accident attorney, you’ll be more likely to see a resolution of your case easily and quickly.
