South Florida Motorcycle Club Accident Attorney

A motorcycle club is a group of people who are often drawn together for more reasons than simply riding together. Depending on the motorcycle club (MC), bikers choose their group based on the purpose of the club itself. Each club has a distinct and often very unique feel and objective to their own group. Individuals who belong to a riding club usually gather for the sole purpose of “riding”, rather than identifying themselves with an alternative goal or intention. South Florida bikers who travel in groups on the highway usually belong to a motorcycle or riding club. Sadly, motorcycle and riding club bikers have recently become victims of serious trucking, auto, and motorcycle accident injuries and fatalities.

What is a Motorcycle Club?

Some MC’s in South Florida are established based on the make of the motorcycle, such as Harley and BMW.  Others are established for the purpose of offering a sense of identity, family, reputation, brotherhood, sisterhood, or as a support group, such as sobriety. Various MC’s have a military focus, or raise charity for veterans. Some clubs are comprised of police officers, firefighters, labor unions, and faith based ministries. Members of a Florida MC may join for the purpose of riding or partying together, while others serve as a bonafide corporation such as a bar, restaurant, or other licensed business. Don’t be mislead, these MC’s are typically highly structured and professional organizations, which include membership, board of directors, officers, and endless bylaws.

Who Joins a Motorcycle Club?

Often times, people may act surprised or shocked that their neighbor or fellow church member belongs to a biker club. MC’s have received an unfortunate reputation for getting into drunken brawls with one another, which couldn’t be anything farther from the truth. According to the AMA (American Motorcycle Association), over 99% of members of motorcycle clubs are law-abiding citizens.

Some of Florida’s largest motorcycle clubs include the following:

  • Outlaws
  • Harley Davidson Buffalo Soldiers
  • S.F. MC’s
  • CMA of South Florida
  • Miami HOG
  • Ft. Lauderdale HOG
  • Chrome Divas of SF
  • Black Divas of SF
  • SF Riders Club
  • Defenders MC
