Hit-and-Run Driver Found After Injuring Autistic Palm Bay Pedestrian/ What To Do After Hit-and-Run Accident

Police have located a hit-and-run driver who slammed into an autistic man with her vehicle this past Saturday, according to J.D. Gallop of Florida Today online. The man had just exited a Space Coast Area Transit bus and was crossing the street when a white car struck him, forcing his body against the hood and windshield. Neighbors say that they heard sounds of skidding, the sound of the impact, and then squealing tires. According to the Palm Bay Police Department, the man sustained a broken leg in the crash, among other injuries, and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Patrol officers located the woman driver at Palm Bay Community Hospital Sunday after receiving a tip, and she reportedly suferred chest pains. According to officials, the woman could face a hit-and-run charge, among potential others, upon release from the hospital.
