Car Accident Lawyer in Pompano Beach, Florida
A Broward County mother has been charged with two counts of child neglect after a dramatic car accident in Pompano Beach revealed that her children, ages 3 and 1 and one half, were not secured in child safety seats during the crash.
The Florida car accident occurred on Friday morning, May 14, when mother Roseline Jean-Baptiste swerved on I-95 in order to avoid debris in the road. She lost control of her car, which flipped and slammed into a wall. Her youngest son, Jacob Mentor, was ejected from the car and flew over the 18-foot-tall concrete wall and safely into a family’s backyard. Amazingly, Mentor survived the crash with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Jean-Baptiste is now in jail for not having her two children in proper car seats at the time of the crash – and for allegedly still not putting her children in car seats in the days after the Broward County rollover accident.
