Police Car Crashes Into School Bus In Ft. Lauderdale

An early morning accident between a police car and a school bus occurred in Fort Lauderdale, but no one was hurt, according to the Sun-Sentinel.  The Broward County auto accident occurred on Davie Blvd. a little before 6:30 a.m. when the police car, which had its emergency lights activated, attempted a turn into a gas station but crashed into the bus. The head-on collision was a scare, but only one student was on the bus, and no injuries were reported.  The officer was reportedly responding to a call about an emergency at the gas station at the time of the Ft. Lauderdale accident.

Although the officer was not hurt in this accident, many accidents involving on-duty officers result in injury. Since the officer was on-duty at the time of the crash, he may have been able to file a workers’ compensation claim for his injuries if he had been hurt. If you would like more information about workers’ comp., auto accidents, or any other personal injury case, feel free to contact attorney David Benenfeld at any of the numbers below.
