"Worst Single Car Accident in Years" in Miami-Dade

Posted on Aug 13, 2008

A car accident that occurred this week is being called the “worst single-car accident in years” by some Miami-Dade police officers.  The Miami-Dade Police Department is currently investigating a car crash that killed a woman.

A woman was driving a silver four-door Cadillac northbound on South Dixie Highway in Plantation just before noon on Sunday, August 10, 2008.  The woman was the only one in the vehicle.  The driver lost control and smashed into a tree on the corner of Kendall Toyota on South Dixie Highway and Southwest 110 Street.

Witnesses rushed to help the driver, but it was too late.  Investigators are working to determine the cause of the car crash.  Wet weather may be to blame for the accident.  Police are reminding drivers to be patient and cautious when driving and to adjust to wet roadways.
