Posted on Jan 10, 2012

Ira Rosenberg a 49-year-old resident of Boynton Beach, died Wednesday night after driving his motorcycle through a red light and crashing into a car west of Boynton Beach, authorities said.

Rosenberg was driving a 1974 Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He was driving northbound on El Clair Ranch Road and was making a left turn through a red light onto Boynton Beach Boulevard.  Rosenberg was hit by Denise Robinson who was driving a two-door 1997 Pontiac that was traveling west.

As Rosenberg ran the red light, his motorcycle crashed into the front of the car throwing Rosenberg onto the pavement.  He was pronounced dead three hours later after being taken to Delray Medical Center.

Robinson was treated for a minor wrist injury and her 10-year-old son who was a passenger in the car was not hurt according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Office of David Benenfeld would like to extend their condolences for the family and friends of Ira Rosenberg.
