Two Die In Dramatic Boca Raton Two-Car Accident

Posted on May 31, 2010

A two-car accident at the entrance of Boca Isles South at Cain Boulevard and Point Royal Drive left two people dead and a third person injured on Friday, May 21, just west of Boca Raton. Florida Police who reported to the scene of the fatal car accident say that the wreckage looked like that of a plane accident.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Lt. Michael Reardon, the crash occurred when 24-year-old Angela Stracar of Boca Raton was driving on Cain Boulevard when she lost control of her vehicle and veered off of the road while traveling northbound. Her SUV crashed into the sign at the entrance of Boca Isles South and became airborne. Her larger vehicle landed on a smaller Cadillac, crushing the car and causing both vehicles to roll several times.

The Cadillac contained 51-year-old Odette Kane and 79 year-old Robert Kane, 79, who both died at the scene of the Boca Raton car accident after being crushed by the SUV. Stracar was transported to West Boca Medical Center by ambulance, where she was admitted in good condition.

Residents of Boca Isles South were unable to use the only entrance to their subdivision as investigators tried to determine what caused the fatal Boca Raton car accident, with many parking along Cain Boulevard as the mangled vehicles were examined and then towed. It is as of yet unclear what made Stacar lose control of her vehicle – and whether she was speeding at the time of the FL car crash. The speed limit on Cain Boulevard is 40 miles per hour.
