I-75 Rollover Accident

An auto accident on August 16, 2008 caused at least one trauma alert and shut down both north and southbound lanes on I-75.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the rollover crash took place after 1:00 PM in the southbound lane at mile marker 128 at Alico Road. A medical helicopter was flown in to take at least one person to an area hospital, which means there were serious injuries. Even though the accident occurred in the southbound lane, the landing of the helicopter resulted in the northbound lanes being shut down as well.
It is unclear how many motor vehicles were involved in the accident.
