Evenflo Recalls 1 Million Car Seats

Evenflo is recalling about one million child safety seats. The appeal of these seats was that they had a separate base that could connect to the vehicle's seat, allowing the safety seat to be removed without removing the entire seat. Unfortunately, testing with the National Highway and Traffic Safety administration indicated that the safety seats have the potential to separate from the base during an accident.
Evenflo is recalling models 390, 391, 534, and 552 of their Discovery child safety seat line. Each product owner will be given a free dual-hook fastener to secure the seat to its base.
