Lee Alexander, 64, and his wife 62-year-old Gail Alexander were traveling on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle when they were involved in a serious South Florida motorcycle accident.
Officials indicate that the crash occurred near the Southwest Florida town of Arcadia. Alexander was traveling east on State Road 70 around 9:20 p.m. Friday night, when a Volkswagen made a left turn in front of him at the intersection with State Road 72.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s Fort Myers office, Christopher Fradley, 32, of Arcadia, hit the motorcycle head-on. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander were flown to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers where Mr. Alexander died from his catastrophic injuries. Mrs. Alexander sustained critical injuries in this Florida motorcycle crash and remained in intensive care.
Fradley remained uninjured during the wreck. Police are still investigating this crash, and no charges have been filed at this time.
Alexander was a dentist in Fort Lauderdale and a father to four daughters, as well as a graduate of Harvard and an aircraft pilot. Friends and family will miss him.
The Law Office of David Benenfeld would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Alexander and would like to wish Mrs. Alexander a complete recovery.
