Davie Motorcyclist Crashes into Woman’s Car

Posted on Nov 30, 2011

Christopher Blair, A Davie resident in his 30’s was driving a motorcycle northbound on North Nob Hill Road near Northwest Sixth Street Monday morning.

Blair ran a red light and crashed into a southbound car that was turning east, Plantation Police Detective Robert Rettig said.

The motorcyclist Blair was injured and transported to Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.  “I’m told he’s going to be OK,” Rettig said.

Police cited Blair for running a red light, driving while his license is suspended and riding a motorcycle without an endorsement on the license.  The endorsement indicates that he would have completed training to operate the bike, the detective said.

“He should not have been riding a motorcycle at all or operating a vehicle, because the license was suspended, Rettig said.

Police did not provide details about the other driver, a female.

The Office of David Benenfeld would like to remind the public to observe traffic laws and drive safely in order to avoid South Florida motorcycle accidents.
