Broward Deputy Involved in Three Car Crash

A deputy with the Broward County Sheriff's department suffered minor injuries on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, after crashing into another vehicle. The deputy was headed south on South Federal highway when a white van headed north made a quick left turn in front of the police cruiser. The deputy's car spun across the road and into a bus, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. No one on the bus was injured.
The driver of the van was hospitalized with a heart condition. Authorities plan to charge the van's driver with a traffic offense.
